In 2017, a female Army Veteran by the name of Betsy Ross published what was supposed to be a one-off realistic-fiction novella which depicted the ups, downs, trials and tribulations of life after military service. Now, six years later, she has typed the last punctuation mark for the FIGHT series in the last book of the series, FIGHT IV: To Fight On. Bo sat down with Betsy to discuss what prompted her to create the first book that turned into a series; now she (along with her readers) bid a bittersweet farewell to characters that exemplify and truly feels as though they are individuals we know.

With three out of four books of the series completed, Betsy Ross is on the final journey to complete FIGHT with FIGHT 4: To Fight On. Betsy joined SGT WarDawg and Bo this past week to discuss what FIGHT is, what the journey has been like for her, how it's helped her mentally and emotionally as well as those that have chosen to pick it up and read it.
We cannot thank Betsy enough for allowing us to dive deep into the depths of her brain and pull out exactly what is going on in the mind of an author when they write something so personal, so reality based yet built around fictional characters.
The FIGHT series follows Veterans after service that are enduring their own demons and struggles in the civilian world. Many of the mental problems discussed are reality for Veterans and civilians. If you choose to read the FIGHT series be cautioned that it is not all explosions and gun fights in fact, it's what nobody else wants to discuss.
Please take your time if you have had any past traumas and know that you may sit these books down at anytime, reach out for help (even if you are not reading these books), and know that you are not alone.
